The Financial Services Roundtable has published a set of guidelines "to help employers offer financial wellness solutions in the workplace."
The new guidelines, drafted in collaboration with the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, are designed to help employers establish programs to educate workers on how to improve their financial well being, according to FSR.
"This resource guide will better help employers advance financial literacy and offer needed financial wellness solutions to more Americans," FSR's Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility Judy Chapa said.
According to the guide, many employees make decisions about their financial needs through work, so "it makes sense that employers provide employees with educational programs, tools and materials that help them make better financial decisions based on their needs and circumstances."
