CEO DATELINE - Former International Council of Shopping Centers CEO John Riordan dies

John Riordan, who led the International Council of Shopping Centers from 1986 to 2001, died June 16 at his in home Cotuit, Mass. He was 80. No cause of death was provided.
A former public school teacher and publishing company executive, Riordan joined ICSC in 1982. He was the association's general manager when he was chosen to succeed Albert Sussman as CEO in 1986. Riordan led ICSC through a period of expansion, with the group today having members in more than 100 countries.
After his retirement in 2001, ICSC named the schools for professional development Riordan had initiated for the association The John T. Riordan Schools. http://bit.ly/2rQPjSw
