The new association "will represent more than 600 member companies in energy services, supply, manufacturing and drilling, and will focus on enabling our members to safely, profitably and sustainably produce the energy needed to meet rising demand around the world," EWTC CEO Leslie Beyer said in a letter to members.
Beyer previously was the chief executive of PESA, a $3.4 million-revenue association based in Houston. AECS was a $2.7 million-revenue organization based in Phoenix. The merged association will be based in Houston with former AESC Executive Director Kenny Jordan becoming vice president.
Both associations represented segments of the oilfield services sector, which took a huge hit last year as the COVID-19 pandemic led to lower demand for oil.
"OFS companies are driving the innovation that will shape our industry, and the Council will be an important voice to connect, educate and advocate for energy companies and their workers—today, and in the future," Beyer said.
