The Associated General Contractors of America has sued the Associated Builders and Contractors Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter in federal court for allegedly infringing on the copyright for certain of its training courses. In an Aug. 12 complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Judge Robert Kelly presiding, AGCA alleges that ABC-EPC copied part of its Supervisory Training Program without permission and made it available in a Feb. 20 webinar, and may have copied other parts of this program and AGCA's Project Manager Development Program as well for unauthorized use. AGCA is seeking a jury trial, that the defendant be barred from further copyright infringement, and that the plaintiff be awarded unspecified monetary damages. As of Aug. 14, ABC-EPC had not filed a response.
