Meetings industry association weighs in on Javits controversy In an open letter to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events said it is concerned about the precedent the state is setting by potentially reshuffling several trade shows to make way for an expanded boat show at New York City's Javob Javits Convention Center. Javits is a state-run facility popular with many trade shows because of its Manhattan location.
