Groups threaten lawsuit if trade shows moved A coalition of organizations that hold trade shows at New York City's Jacob Javits Convention Center is upset with center's decision to displace six events to make space for a boat show. Among the displaced events is the National Retail Federation's annual convention and expo, typically held in January. NRF is a member of the Friends of Javits, the coalition that is threatening to sue if the trade show dates are not reinstated.
