NRF appeals swipe fee settlement The National Retail Federation announced Thursday it had appealed a $5.7 billion court settlement concerning credit card swipe fees, arguing the terms of the agreement do nothing to alleviate the concerns of its industry. At issue is a lawsuit that pitted individual merchants against Visa, MasterCard and some of the nation's largest banks.
