Business groups blast new greenhouse gas regulations The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed new rules to cut carbon emissions from new coal-fired power plants, but at least two organizations say the only result will be higher electricity bills. The proposal "confirms the administration is talking out of both sides of its mouth when it comes to meaningful, long-term energy policy," said Mike Duncan, CEO of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity.
