Matt Gilmore, director of membership and business development at Gardner Manufacturing Association Solutions, will lead the new organization as executive director.
The National Association of Black Compliance & Risk Management Professionals will work with other nonprofits, governments and businesses to create an environment that encourages and values the perspectives and contributions of Black professionals in compliance and risk management fields, according to a statement. The group also plans to provide networking and job training opportunities for members.
The North American Association of Sales Engineers was formed to provide a certifying trade association for the roughly 67,000 sales engineers throughout the U.S. as well as their counterparts in Mexico and Canada, according to the group's website. Sales engineers sell complex technological and scientific products and services, and often have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. In addition to certification, NAASE plans to provide networking opportunities for members and advocate on their behalf.
