CEO Pay Climbs in Chicago Associations

Chief executive pay climbed 4.6 percent for the top association leaders in the Chicagoland area, along with overall increases in salary and bigger bonuses for non-profits across the region, according to an annual study by the Association Forum of Chicagoland. CEOs who lead professional societies earn 28 percent more pay than their peers in trade groups – an opposite trend in pay parity in Washington. The 2006-2007 Compensation & Benefits Survey compiles the compensation data of 129 organizations and 74 positions.
