Chamness to leave NAMIC in 2020

Chamness The $23M-revenue National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies announced that longtime CEO Chuck Chamness will step down in the fall of 2020. Chamness joined NAMIC in 1995 and was promoted to CEO in 2003. In a news release, NAMIC said Chamness guided the industry during the financial crisis. Consolidated revenue has grown 150% and NAMIC has added 200 new members, for a total of 1,400. Chamness noted that he will be 58 when he leaves NAMIC, and is unsure of his next chapter, but looking forward to spending more time in New York City with his wife Briget Polichene, who became CEO of the Institute of International Bankers in 2018.
