Leaders of areas professional societies see the most significant compensation hikes Salaries for Chicago-area CEOs who lead national associations are growing faster than the national average, even besting pay increases of Washington, D.C.-based chief executives. The latest tax records from 2010 show a total pay increase of 4.5 percent for CEOs who run national associations in the Chicago metro area that have more than $2 million in revenue.
