Downs drives candy maker advocacy with narratives that roll off the tongue

 John Downs' career has been a sweet success. In 2014, he parlayed 28 years at Coca-Cola and its bottling companies into leadership of America's candy lobby, the National Confectioners Association.  The common thread—besides sugar, lots and lots of sugar—has been his knack for advocacy and communications.
