Exit Interview: Leslie G. Sarasin

As the new president and CEO of the Food Marketing Institute, Leslie Sarasin has come full circle within the food industry. It’s a business sector she feels passionately about, as food crosses geographic boundaries, languages and affects people at all income levels. This interest, legal training and ability to speak Spanish led Sarasin first to a seafood distribution company with business in Latin America, then to the National Food Brokers Association, and finally to the $3 million-revenue American Frozen Food Institute, where she represented manufacturers.
