Former hospital group leader Davidson dies

Dick Davidson was top executive at American Hospital Association for 16 yearsDick Davidson received the AHA's Distinguished Service Award at the 2007 annual meeting. The American Hospital Association's second-longest serving president, Dick Davidson, died March 28 at age 79. Davidson led AHA for 16 years before retiring in 2007. Davidson was also the first president and CEO of the Maryland Hospital Association, leading it from 1969 until joining AHA in 1991.
