Former SIFMA staffer joins restaurant group

Scott DeFife, former head of government affairs at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, is the new executive vice president of policy and government affairs at the $27 million National Restaurant Association, effective Jan. 11, 2010. The announcement comes some eight months after the departure from the NRA of former Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy John Gay, who left amid a reshuffling of the group’s government relations division.
