GPS fears send associations flocking to work together

Nearly 200 associations, businesses and local governments have joined to oppose plans by a telecommunications company to launch a wireless broadband service that critics say could disrupt GPS signals. The Coalition to Save Our GPS, first formed in March, has been adding members since, representing those concerned about GPS availability should the Federal Communications Commission allow Reston, Va.-based LightSquared to deploy its network.
