Grassroots and state efforts help drive up Q3 lobby costs

Spending is up slightly overall; $40 million reported by U.S. Chamber includes TV and radio ads placed in key election states Lawmakers barely touched down in Washington during August and September, but lobbying—and the expense of lobbying—carried on. An analysis by CEO Update shows that associations spent slightly more on lobbying from July through September than in the previous three months.
