Group could derail D.C. Metro expansion plans

A planned extension of the Washington, D.C., Metrorail service is facing a roadblock in the shape of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists headquarters. Metro officials have proposed a new rail station in Bethesda, Md., to service the upcoming Purple Line, which will run from the suburb just north of the district, to New Carrollton, Md., some 16 miles away.
