ACLI announces Kempthorne exit

CEO: ‘Appropriate time' for transition Kempthorne Former Idaho governor and U.S. Sen. Dirk Kempthorne will step down as CEO of American Council of Life Insurers in early 2019, the $43 million-revenue association said Jan. 10. In a statement, Kempthorne, 66, provided no reason for his departure other than he believed it was the appropriate time for ACLI to transition to a new CEO. He has led the group since 2010.
