American Lung gets new CEO

The American Lung Association selected Bernadette A. Toomey as president and chief executive officer on July 1. Toomey succeeds John L. Kirkwood, who is retiring after 37 years with the association and six years at the helm. Toomey comes to the $43 million revenue ALA from the American Legacy Foundation, where she spent six years, ending as executive vice-president for strategic partnerships and development.
