Hebert CEO Departures Hebert to retire from nurses group The American Association of Nurse Practitioners announced that CEO David Hebert will retire in December 2020, after leading professional organizations for NPs for nine years. Hebert was named CEO of the American College of Nurse Practitioners in 2012, and then led the merger of that group with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2013. AANP has grown from 38,000 members to more than 100,000 during Hebert's tenure, AANP said in its announcement.
