DeHaven Departures Veterinary association head to retire Ron DeHaven, CEO of the $38M-revenue American Veterinary Medical Association, will retire later this year. DeHaven joined the Schaumburg, Ill.-based association in 2007. He previously was administrator of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Before joining the agency, he served in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and served in the U.S. Army Reserves and National Guard. A final date for DeHaven's departure has not been set.
