Departures Allen Allen to leave publishers association Tom Allen will retire as CEO of the $11M-revenue Association of American Publishers in early 2017. Allen has led AAP since 2009. He previously spent 12 years in Congress as a Democratic representative from Maine. The CEO lives in Portland, Maine, and commutes to the association's offices in New York City and Washington, D.C.
