DC lowest unemployment rate

The Washington, D.C. metropolitan area reported the lowest rate of unemployment in the nation for a major metropolitan area at 3 percent, according to the latest monthly report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The bulletin, released Tuesday, shows even lower unemployment rates in some D.C. suburbs, with Maryland cities Bethesda, Gaithersburg and Frederick reporting the lowest unemployment of all metropolitan divisions, 2.5 percent.
