Former Idaho governor, U.S. senator has led group since 2010 Dirk Kempthorne Former Idaho Gov. Dirk Kempthorne will step down as CEO of the $43 million-revenue American Council of Life Insurers by early 2019, he said in a statement released Wednesday. He has led the group since 2010.
