Environmental Defense Fund promotes Yarnold

David Yarnold has been promoted to executive director of Environmental Defense Fund and president of the Environmental Defense Action Fund, the lobbying arm of the group. Yarnold is a Pulitzer Prize-winning finalist for editorial writing and spent 27 years at the San Jose Mercury News, where he served as editor, executive editor and managing editor. He first joined the New York, N.Y.-based environmental group as executive vice president in April 2005.
