Equipment Leasing CEO to head D.C. office for SIFMA

Kenneth E. Bentsen Jr., a former Democratic member of Congress and current president of the $9 million Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, is moving over in September to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and will head its Washington, D.C. office as executive vice president, public policy and advocacy. Bentsen is replacing Michael Paese, a former aide to Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who left SIFMA in April to take over as Goldman Sachs’ top lobbyist.
