FMI vice president Polley dies

Food Marketing Institute executive Cathy Polley, 56, died Nov. 2. She had ovarian cancer and was diagnosed with the disease in 2010. She was heavily involved in raising awareness and research funding to combat it as a board member of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. Polley joined the $26 million-revenue FMI in 2007 and was vice president of health and wellness and executive director of the FMI Foundation.
