New AIAA Executive Director Sandra Magnus seeking to determine if she has the right stuff to head $24 million-revenue group Magnus Sandra Magnus joined the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in April as a member. She would've joined earlier, she said in an interview, but she was a bit busy. "The job I had before didn't allow me to make strong commitments on a regular basis because I was traveling a lot," she said. "Traveling a lot" is an understatement.
