Former House Speaker Hastert joins D.C. lobbying firm

After resigning his seat in late 2007, former congressman joins high-profile K Street firm to provide “strategic counsel to clients.” Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) joined the law and lobbying firm Dickstein Shapiro as senior advisor June 2 in the firm’s Government Law and Strategy Group.
