General Counsel Karen Barr to take the place of retiring CEO David Tittsworth Barr The $4 million-revenue Investment Adviser Association has promoted General Counsel Karen Barr to president and CEO, effective Nov. 3. She will replace David Tittsworth, who announced in February he would resign from the organization. Barr has been general counsel at IAA since 1997. Prior to joining the association, she was in private practice at Washington, D.C. law firm Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now Wilmer Hale). She has a law degree from the University of Michigan.
