Nelson to exit insurance commissioners association

Nelson The $83 million-revenue National Association of Insurance Commissioners will not renew the contract of CEO Ben Nelson when his current term ends on Jan. 31, 2016. Nelson joined NAIC in 2013 after 12 years as a U.S. senator from Nebraska. Previously, the Democrat had been a two-term Nelson governor of Nebraska, beginning his government career as supervisor of claims and inquiries in the Nebraska Department of Insurance in 1965.
