New AMA CEO assumes position in a challenging time

The American Medical Association is still a big spender on Capitol Hill, but membership rolls have dropped somewhat. Madara James Madara becomes the new executive vice president and CEO of the American Medical Association July 1, at a time when the group’s lobbying spending has surged while membership revenue has fallen.
