Read MoreA. Barry Rand, a former CEO at Avis and an executive with Xerox Corp. who worked his way up the corporate ladder over 30 years with the company, has been chosen as the next CEO of AARP. Heidrick & Struggles, an executive search firm with Washington area offices, completed the CEO search. Rand succeeds CEO William Novelli, who announced two years ago that he would retire in 2010. Novelli became CEO of AARP in 2001.
