ASHA moves into new green building
By Katherine Schaefer A new $48 million green building housed on seven acres in Rockville, Md. is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building to house a 501(c)(6) organization in Maryland. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association moved to their new location on Dec. 3, 2007, less than 10 miles away from the organizations previous headquarters office.

The trade group representing the cosmetic, fragrance and personal care industry is getting a makeover. The Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association is now the Personal Care Products Council. The name change is part of associations makeover, an ongoing two-year effort to update the industry group and bring it closer to consumers. It includes making the groups identity and industry clear and understandable for consumers, said Pamela Bailey, CEO since 2005.
