Pfotenhauer departs ALTA for private-sector job

Kurt Pfotenhauer Kurt Pfotenhauer, CEO of the $4 million-revenue American Land Title Association, left the organization at the end of July to become executive vice president and vice chairman of the Santa Ana, Calif.,-based First American Financial Corporation. Pfotenhauer had joined ALTA as CEO in 2008 after working five years as senior vice president of government affairs for the $17 million-revenue Mortgage Bankers Association.
