Primed to Lead: Scott Whitaker

Scott Whitaker says his federal government experience prepared him well for the issues facing his present organization. Before joining BIO in 2005, he previously served as chief of staff for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to that, he worked in the Senate for 10 years as a staffer for Sen. Don Nickles (R-Okla.). As BIO’s chief operating officer, he oversees all departments and the day-to-day operation of the $57 million organization.
