Sleight to exit U.S. Grains Council

Sleight Tom Sleight will retire as CEO of the U.S. Grains Council following the naming of his successor later this year, the $22M-revenue association announced Feb. 14. Sleight has worked at USCG for a total of 25 years. He rose through the association's ranks to become executive director in 1992. He left the group in 1999 to become division director for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and later was executive director of the New York Farm Viability Institute, but returned as VP in 2010.
