Stevens leaving Mortgage Bankers group for SunTrust

MBA CEO, who has led the association for only a year, will step down June 30 to head SunTrust Mortgage Stevens David Stevens, who had been named president and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association in May of 2011, will leave the group June 30 to be president of SunTrust Mortgage, MBA announced May 30. SunTrust is an active member of MBA. “We are sorry to see him leave so soon,” MBA Board Chairman Michael Young said in a statement. Young called Stevens an “exceptional leader” who leaves the group “well-positioned” for the future.
