Garfield Dean Garfield says there was some serendipity involved when he landed the CEO role at Information Technology Industry Council in 2008. A litigator by training, Garfield, 45, had worked for the Recording Industry Association of America and the Motion Picture Association of America as both industries grappled with piracy and illegal content trading.
