William Harvey, former executive director of International Reading Association, alleged he was a victim of discrimination A Newark, Del.-based organization representing literacy professionals did not discriminate against former Executive Director William Harvey when its board of directors fired him in 2010, a federal judge ruled March 12. The $15 million-revenue International Reading Association hired Harvey in 2009 to lead the group after it terminated the contract of its previous executive director, Alan Farstrup, earlier that year.
