NCTA extends contract for Powell another three years

CEO has led the television and internet associaiton since 2011 Powell NCTA—The Internet & Television Association has extended the contract of CEO Michael Powell for three years, the group announced Feb. 21. Powell joined the $78 million-revenue NCTA in 2011. He had previously been chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. The association has seen some significant changes during his time as CEO, including a rebranding in 2016 in which the group dropped "cable" from its name. The association also ended its annual trade show that same year. Powell earned more than $4.4 million in compensation in 2016, according to tax records. Read More
