Report: Chris Dodd might be next MPAA CEO

If the former Senate heavyweight seals the deal, he would be taking a job that was vacated more than a year ago The Motion Picture Association of America is in serious negotiations with former U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd to be the group’s new president and CEO, according to a Feb. 9 reports. “It’s not a done deal, but he’s the only one in negotiations,” an industry official told Politico. The deal could take several weeks to complete, the official said.

AIAM announces new address, new name

The Association of International Automobile Manufacturers has a new identity—the Association of Global Automakers—and a new main office location: 1050 K St., NW, Washington, D.C. The group had previously spent more than 30 years headquartered in Arlington, Va. The new, larger D.C. office affords closer proximity to Capitol Hill and regulatory agencies, and gives the group room to expand internal staff.
