New Association: Poultry Growers Association

Responding to spiraling energy costs, poultry growers inWest Virginia have formed a new association to urge corporations that buy from them to raise their pay. The Poultry Growers Association formed May 23 at a meeting in rural Pendleton County. Many of the 50-plus members are under contract to Pilgrim’s Pride, one of a handful of poultry companies in the state, said association member Mike Weaver.
