Meat groups call for repeal of country-of-origin labeling Six associations representing meat producers are asking lawmakers to strike down a law that requires meat products to carry country-of-origin labels. The groups had hoped to revise the law using the Farm Bill, which was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday. But the bill came out of the chamber without any changes to the labeling law, so now the associations are seeking full repeal, Reuters reports.
