Pharmacy groups sue over Medicaid reimbursement

Associations representing drugstores are suing the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to forestall new reimbursement rates going into effect for prescription drugs. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores and the National Community Pharmacists Association filed a lawsuit on Nov. 7 against CMS and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including acting CMS Administrator Kerry Weems and HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt.
