Report: Maloney to lead American Investment Council, succeeding Sommers

Treasury Department official to succeed Mike Sommers Drew Maloney, a former GOP lobbyist and official at the Treasury Department, is expected to be named the next CEO of the $8 million-revenue American Investment Council, Politico reported June 7. Maloney currently is assistant secretary for legislative affairs at the Treasury Department. AIC did not confirm the news report, saying a decision on a new CEO hasn't been finalized. If confirmed, Maloney would succeed Mike Sommers, who is stepping down later this year to become CEO of the $230 million-revenue American Petroleum Institute.
