Restaurant association prepares for headquarters move

The National Restaurant Association is gearing up for its upcoming relocation to 2055 L St. NW on April 23. The $57 million-revenue association announced last year it was selling its office building at 1200 17th St. NW to Akridge and First Potomac Realty Trust. The commercial real estate firms plan to raze the eight-story structure to make way for a new, 170,000-square-foot building. NRA is moving less than a half-mile west of its current location to the seventh and eight floors of the building owned by Monument Realty, which agreed to build an eighth floor to accommodate the groups needs.
