ASAE has appointed Susan Robertson as its leader for 18 months as the association searches for a successor to CEO John Graham, who died in January.
Robertson was ASAE's executive vice president and president of the ASAE Research Foundation when she was tapped by the organization last year to fill in as interim CEO for Graham, who had stepped aside while he underwent treatment for cancer. She had joined the organization in 2008. Robertson will lead ASAE as CEO for the next 1? years, with the association formerly launching a search for its next top executive on Oct. 1.
"Susan has the board's full confidence as a chief staff executive," Patricia Blake, chair of ASAE's board of directors, said in a statement. "ASAE continues to thrive as an organization under her leadership, and continuity is very important for ASAE during its Centennial and beyond."
ASAE is marking its 100th anniversary in 2020, culminating with a celebration during the association's annual meeting in Las Vegas in August. The group plans for its next CEO to start by Sept. 1, 2021.
